Favorite games?

I am curious as to what everyone's favorite games are, and what they are playing currently. also recommendations. and games to stay away from are always good to know too!

Favorite RPG of all time- FF7

love all FF games, shadowhearts 1&2 (can't wait for 3 to come out)

have beat FF 7, 8, (didn't finish 9 cause was the only FF game that irritated me ) all the way to the end of 10 and realized SOMEONE (*cough ZKM cough*) messed up one of the temples and missed something so I couldn't get the last Guardian I needed to get the ultimate one, and i became so distraught I stopped playing. still play FF11 which has major sentimental value for me, am playing FF12 which totally rocks and I am salivating over the long awaited FF13 for PS3 *sigh drool sigh*

folklore is very cool
Zelda twilight princess is awesome

am playing mario kart and SSBB on wii.

am playing patapon on psp, getting ready to play crisis core on psp as well.

loved pokemon pearl for DS, especially then playing the stadium thing on wii with the ginormous TV. but haven't played that in quite a while I wonder how many people still play that, with all the new cool stuff out on wii?

am totally stuck on FF3/6 for DS. at the FINAL boss fight and can't beat it. need to level up more I guess but it is killing me the slogging through trying to level up enough to beat the stupid thing. I put it away so that i wouldn't throw it across the room in frustration.

*looks around innocently* did I mention I am a game fanatic with lots of systems?

so..what are you playing? what are your favorites? inquiring minds want to know! also- curious- most of you are young, what are your parents requirements for gaming? like, do they give you restrictions based on content or ratings, do they play games too etc.

Im a fan of Final fantasy 7 too but i didn't play with the others FF except the final fantasy 12 but i didn't like is combat system.

My favorite game are :

About the parents thing:

No my parents don't have any influence on what type of game i buy or rent (Proof : they let me play God of War and Mortal kombat)

I love the combat system on FF12. i think because I have played most of the others, and it is a nice mix, kinda a "best of" thing. the game reminds me a lot of FF11 online, with the open feeling and combat system, and how you can choose to fight, instead of forced random combat. it takes a while to get used to, especially if you haven't played much of the other ones.

I am always surprised at how many parents don't pay attention at all to the games their kids play. Maybe I wouldn't as much if I didn't play myself too. Like, Shi just got GTA and was playing it here before going home- and he played it only when ZKM was sleeping. there is no way I would let him play that, or watch it. its just not appropriate at all. but some RPG's that have teen rating or even mature, its silly to me that they have those ratings and i don't have a problem with him playing them. I think the rating system could be improved, or more parents even became involved with what their kids were doing it would help.

Well if my parents don't allow me to buy a game because its rated M then i just say that im 15 and i don't care about anything in the game because i know its just virtual and they let me play. But for the kids you might be right..because if i would have a 10 year old kid then i wouldn't allow him to play GTA or other games like that.

Ho yea i do have Oblivion..but that game is getting boring fast.

Which oblivion do you have and for which system? we have 4 for ps3. the expansion pack is supposed to be really really good. For the game of the year edition. I gave the expansion pack to Shi, but have not been able to find it again. XD I don't want to buy the game of the year edition unless I can get it used for not too much money, because we already have the game.
